New Relapse =(

I went to my neurologist yesterday and she told me that I am having another MS relapse. This one is not fun. It started after the farm field trip a couple of weeks ago and has slowly gotten worse until this weekend; then I felt like I was hit by a truck!

At first my legs were just weak so I was trying to rest and not overdue it, then the muscle and nerve pain set in even with all of the medicine the doctor has me on. Finally my brain decided to fly out the window too! Ever try to take a bunch of sleeping pills and then function? That is how I have been feeling for about the last week! Except I never took any sleeping pills!

So today I started taking IV steroids. I had my first dose today and I will go back again tomorrow and Friday for the final doses. I will be out of work this whole week and I am crossing my fingers that I will be able to return next week since I am running out of sick days! Luckily we do not have school on Monday or Tuesday so I can rest those days as well!

I will update as I know more.

Parties in the classrooms!

In my classroom I tried to have a "Happy Healthy Halloween Party" so that not all of my 19 students would show up with cookies and cupcakes! It turned out pretty nice! They had apples, carrots, pretzels, animal crackers, fruit snacks, and popcorn. They loved it and they even got to take home goody bags filled with candy from their classmates! In the morning we did Halloween craft centers. It was a lot of work getting it ready but the kids had a blast! They made ghost windsocks, witches and bats out of toilet paper tubes, hand print bats, pumpkins on a hanger and Halloween necklaces! Hopefully their parents won't throw all of their hard work away as soon as they get home! =)

Here is a picture of Chloe and me in her classroom! I forgot to put my hat on for the picture though!

Chloe being a goofball during her party!

She looks like she is working hard on that crossword puzzle!!

Halloween parade at school!!!!

We had a parade at school yesterday! Here are some pictures! Chloe's teacher and I! I was a pirate and she was a fairy!

Steve and I went to his friend Jino's wedding so I made him take some pictures of us before we left the house! Too bad Chloe wasn't still home so all 3 of us would have been in the pictures!!

Chloe went to a birthday party!!

Chloe was invited to her friend Aubrey's birthday party at a store called Justice. The girls got their hair and make up done, received goody bags, and then went across the parking lot to eat cake and ice cream. Chloe loved the way her hair turned out and was excited to take many pictures for me!

Chloe soccer!!

Here are some pictures from Chloe's soccer game last weekend. I forgot to bring my camera to the game today!

Saturday 9/27

So today I had a nurse come out and show me how to give myself shots! Here is a picture from the first one.....

I have been looking online and I read that the longer the shot is out of the fridge before injecting, the less it will welt and sting! So I already took out my shot for tomorrow!

After the nurse left Chloe and I went to the animal shelter again! There were sooooo many black cats!!

These cats were all sitting on my lap! The one on the left has weird looking eyes. It has cross eyes!! The girl that works there said that she was born without eyelids. =(

Here is a picture of me with the 3 cats! There is another one on the ground that wanted to jump up too!!!This one on my shoulder is Dixie. She kept climbing up me if I put her down. She was VERY friendly!!! Hopefully she will go to a wonderful home!!Here is Chloe holding Eve on her lap! She liked her!

Doctor visit 9/11

I went to the neurologist yesterday and he said that he was happy with how I was doing. He said that I looked a lot better than last time he saw me. We discussed starting Copaxone. It is a daily injected medicine that is supposed to help stop the progression of MS. I am waiting for a phone call from the company to set up an appointment for one of their nurses to come and show me how to do the shot. My doc's office said that it can take about 3 weeks for them to call because it has to go through insurance and everything. Then I go back to my doc on October 28th to have my shot areas checked out and make sure I am not having any bad reactions. Not too excited about the daily shots, but it is better than the ones that will ruin my liver!!

Glasses!!!

Well last week Chloe started complaining that she couldn't see the board. I wasn't sure if I believed her because her teacher had just moved another student who couldn't see closer to the front. And knowing how Chloe likes attention I was thinking that she was just seeking more. I didn't want to ignore the vision issue though so I had the school nurse check her vision and sure enough she failed the exam. So Steve took her to the eye doctor this week and he said, yes she needs glasses! So today Chloe and I went and picked out a cute pair of frames. They should be in next week and she will have to wear them all the time. Her prescription isn't that bad but she also has astigmatism. Here is a pic of the frames she picked out. Kinda hard to see, but they are actually pink. very fitting for my princess!!

My favorite kitty!!!

This is Messa! She is my FAVORITE kitty! Isn't she adorable!!!

Chloe's first game of the season!!

Chloe had her first soccer game of the season last weekend! Her team didn't win but that is ok, they had a lot of fun! Chloe is very excited because she gets to be a forward this season! Last season she played a lot of defense, but she likes to be in the action! The first game was hard on her asthma but we are hoping that as the season goes on she will do ok.

Here is Chloe on our way to the game! She was so tired, we had to be there by 7:30 am!Chloe getting ready to practice with Steve.Warming up with her team. I'm open!!! Running! Why is her tounge sticking out???On the bench, taking a break.
